Fancy an afternoon of good company, homemade food, and unlimited hot drinks — all for a fiver? Come along to our monthly quilting get-together at Huntley Village Hall, 1–4pm on the 4th Saturday of the month (skipping December). Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned quilter, you'll find a relaxed, no-pressure space to stitch, swap tips, and make new friends. We've also just launched optional monthly workshops with Jacqui, walking through classic patchwork and quilt-as-you-go blocks — perfect if you've ever wanted to try quilting but didn't know where to start, or want to build a whole 12-block quilt over the year. No pressure to join in if it's not your thing; plenty of members come purely for the lunch and the chat! Bring yourself, your machine if you're working on something, and an appetite — quiche, salad, cake, and endless tea are all included in the £5. A friendly, welcoming quilting and patchwork group that meets monthly at Huntley Village Hall. Sessions run from 1pm–4pm on the 4th Saturday of every month (except December), and cost just £5 — which covers a proper homemade lunch (quiches and salad), plus cakes and biscuits, and as much tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and squash as you fancy. Alongside the social side, the group now runs an optional monthly patchwork workshop led by Jacqui, covering basic patchwork and quilt-as-you-go techniques. Over the year, anyone who wants to can build up a 12" x 12" block quilt one block at a time — each session introduces a new 12½" design, mostly using a 6½" square ruler or a 6½" x 24" ruler. It's entirely optional: dip in, dip out, or just come for the company and cake. Beginners and experienced quilters are equally welcome, and Jacqui's happy to explore other block designs if members fancy something different.
